John Deere 1026R Periodic Maintenance

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Motor oil level checking. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Check the transmission fluid level. If the transmission fluid is too low, add it.

Checking primary and secondary air filters.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine speed, steering, hand brake and service brakes. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect rear and front tires. If required, inflate the tires.

Check battery condition. Charge or replace.

Check front axle oil level. Top up as necessary.

Checking hydraulic oil in system. Fill the hydraulic system as required.

Lubricate front and rear axle hub bearings.

Check rear and front wheels. Tighten nuts and bolts as required.

Every 200 hours

Changing engine oil. Recommended motor oil: Plus-50 (5W-30/10W-40). Engine oil capacity: 2.7 L (0.71 gal). Check engine oil level after replacement.

Oil filter changing. Filter part number - M806418. Before installing a new filter, clean the filter housing from clogging. When the filter is replaced, check the oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Change transmission/hydraulic oil. Recommended transmission/hydraulic fluid type - Hy-gard (J20D). How much to change - 12.3 L (3.3 gal). When the procedure is complete, check the transmission/hydraulic fluid level.

Changing transmission fluid filter. Transmission fluid filter part number - LVA16054. After replacing the filter, check the transmission fluid level. Add oil if required. Change after first 50 hours and every 200 hours.

Clean the radiator grill from dust and dirt.

Inspect the alternator/fan belt and adjust the belt tension if necessary.

Check the torque of the wheel bolts.

Every 400 Hours

Changing engine primary air filter elements. Air filter part number - M113621.

Checking engine air secondary filter element. Part number - M123378. Install a new filter when restriction indicator is red.

Replace diesel fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - M801101. Check the efficiency of fuel injection pump.

Change the inline fuel filter. Part number: AM116304.

Check the coolant in cooling system. Add coolant if necessary.

Check engine idling. Adjust engine idle as required.

Check and tighten all hoses and clamps.

Change front axle lubricant.

Check and adjust the service and parking brakes.

Engine oil filter. Part number: M806418

Change filter and engine oil. Service oil system components.

Replace air cleaner elements.

Install a new transmission/hydraulic filter and fill with fresh oil.

Change the fuel filter, but drain water from fuel tank first.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant. Cooling system capacity: 3.7 L (0.98 gal).

Check all hoses and clamps.

Check battery charge.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injectors.
