John Deere 2355 Periodic Maintenance

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Check engine oil level. If the oil level is too low, fill in new oil.

Transmission fluid level checking. When the transmission fluid is low, add fresh oil.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Part number - R65450. Change as required.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Part number - L38598. Install a new filter element if necessary.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine speed, steering unit, hand brake and service brakes. If you found a problem, fix it.

Every 50 Hours

Check tyre pressure. If the tyre pressure is low, inflate the tyres.

Check battery charge level and charge if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Add if required.

Check the oil level in hydraulic system. If necessary, add hydraulic oil to the system.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Check tractor for loose or lost nuts and screws.

Every 200 hours

Engine primary air filter replacement. Air filter part number - AZ20623 / AL65051. Replace primary air filter if air cleaner indicator light continues to glow.

Perform inspection of engine secondary air filter. Part number - AL67195 / AE31724. Never clean. Replace at every third change of primary air filter.

Clean radiator grill from dirt.

Check fan/alternator belt wear. Replace belt if necessary.

Check the tightening torque of the hub bolts.

Every 500 Hours

Changing engine oil. Recommended oil type - Plus-50 or SAE 15W-40, classification CD, CC, SD. John Deere 2355 lubricating system capacity - 6.0 L (1.6 gal). After adding engine oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Change engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: T19044. When change the filter, cleaning the housing is required. When installation is complete, check the oil level. If after checking the oil level is low, add it. Change oil and filter after every 250 hours, if conditions are not met.

Changing transmission/hydraulic oil. Recommended fluid type: Hy-Gard. How much to add: for collarshift transmission without reverser - 33.0 L (8.7 gal), for synchronized transmission with MFWD - 50.5 L (13.3 gal), for synchronized transmission without MFWD - 47.5 L (12.5 gal). Fill with the new transmission/hydraulic oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Transmission fluid filter changing. Oil filter part number: AR75603. After installation, checking the transmission oil level is recommended. If after checking the transmission fluid level is low, add it. Change return flow filter as well.

Changing hydraulic return flow filter. Part number of hydraulic filter: AL56469/RE34958. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic fluid level. Add hydraulic oil if it is low.

Replace engine fuel filter. Fuel filter part number - AR50041. Check injection pump settings.

Check the coolant in cooling system. Add coolant if necessary.

Check engine idle speed. Adjust if necessary.

Check the tubes and hoses. Tighten if necessary.

Front axle fluid change.

Check and adjust the service and parking brakes.

Annually

Replace filter and engine oil. Check and clean the oil system.

Change air cleaner elements.

Change transmission oil and filter.

Change hydraulic filter and add fresh oil to hydraulic system.

Check hydrostatic steering oil filter. Part number: AL31413. Replace after every 1200 hours.

Change the fuel filter by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling system capacity: 10 L (2.6 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charging.

Check engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injectors.
