John Deere 3005 Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Check motor oil level. If the oil level is too low, fill in new oil.

Check the transmission oil level. If the transmission fluid is too low, fill the required volume.

Check engine engine primary air filter. Replace if required.

Check the secondary air filter element. Replace as required per conditions.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine speed, steering unit, service brakes and hand brake. Repair any damage if necessary.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect tires and inflate if necessary.

Check battery charging. Replace or charge the battery if required.

Checking the oil in front axle. Add if required.

Check the hydraulic oil level in system. Fill the hydraulic system as required.

Lubricate the front axle wheel bearings.

Check wheels and tighten nuts and bolts if required.

Every 200 hours

Changing engine oil. Recommended motor oil type - Plus-50. How much is required - 2.8 L (0.73 gal). After changing the oil, check the level with a dipstick.

Changing oil filter. Filter part number - M806419. Clean the filter housing from dirt before replacing the filter element. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. If required, add it.

Inspect the primary and secondary air filter and replace if necessary.

Clean radiator fins from dirt.

Inspect the alternator/fan belt and if it is worn, change it.

Check the tightening torque of the hub bolts.

Every 400 Hours

Change transmission/hydraulic oil. Recommended oil - Hy-Gard. How much is required - 15.0 L (4 gal). After installing a new filter, check that the transmission/hydraulic oil level is correct.

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid filter. Oil filter part number: RE27284. After installing a new filter, check the transmission/hydraulic oil. If after checking the transmission oil level is low, add it.

Replacing engine primary air filter. Engine air filter part number: M131802.

Changing secondary air filter. Air filter part number - M131803.

Change engine fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: MIU800645. Check the operation of fuel injection pump.

Check cooling system for leaks. Top up if required.

Check engine idle speed. Adjust if necessary.

Inspect and tighten the hoses and hose clamps.

Front axle fluid change.

Adjust parking and service brakes.

Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filters.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling system capacity: 4.8 L (1.26 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charge.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust injector pump.
