John Deere 5065E Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Motor oil level checking. If the engine oil level is low, fill in fresh oil.

Transmission fluid level checking procedure. If the transmission fluid is too low, fill the required volume.

Check air filter. Replace if required.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check engine idle speed, steering system, service brakes and hand brake. If damages are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect rear and front tires. If required, inflate the tires.

Check the battery. Clean battery terminals if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Checking hydraulic fluid in system. Add oil to hydraulic system if necessary.

Lubricate rear and front axle hub bearings.

Check tightness of wheel screws and nuts.

Every 250 hours

Change engine oil. Motor oil type: Plus-50 / 15W-40 API classification CJ-4. How much to add - 8.5 L (2.24 gal). Check motor oil level after changing.

Replacing engine oil filter. Engine oil filter part number: RE519626. Before replacing, remove dirt from the filter housing. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. Add oil if it is low.

Transmission/hydraulic oil change. Transmission/hydraulic oil type - Hy-Gard. How much to pour - 38 L (10 gal) for Sync Shuttle Transmission 38 L (10 gal) and 43.5 L (11.5 gal) for PowrReverser Transmission. Check fluid level after replacement.

Changing transmission/hydraulic fluid filter. Transmission/hydraulic fluid filter part number: RE45864. After installation, checking the transmission fluid level is recommended. Add fluid if required.

Engine primary air filter elements servicing. Primary air filter part number: RE282286. Service after every 250 hours or annually.

Inspect the engine secondary element and clean if necessary. Part number: RE282287.

Clean the radiator fins with a brush from dust.

Inspect alternator/fan belt. Replace if necessary.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 500 Hours

Check the diesel particulate filter (DPF). Replace as required. Part number: RE567056.

Replace engine fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: RE60021. Check diesel fuel pump adjustment.

Inspect and service the cab recirculation air filter. Filter part number - RE195491. Clean after every 500h and replace every 1200 hours.

Check cab fresh air filter. Part number - RE198488. Clean annually and as required per conditions.

Check cooling system for leaks. If coolant is low, top up.

Check engine idle. Adjust engine idle as required.

Inspect all fittings and hoses. Tighten as recommended.

Front axle oil change.

Check and adjust the brake system components.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling system capacity: 9.5 L (2.5 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charging.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel pump.
