John Deere 4052M Maintenance Information

John Deere 4052M Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Check motor oil level. If the oil level is too low, add new oil.

Transmission oil level checking procedure. When transmission oil is low, fill in new oil.

Engine air filter checking. Replace with a new one if necessary.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, add coolant in cooling system.

Check idle engine speed, steering system, parking brake and service brakes. If you found a problem, fix it.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect front and rear tires. If required, inflate the tires.

Check battery charge level and charge if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Top up as necessary.

Check the hydraulic oil level in system. If necessary, add hydraulic oil to the system.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Check tractor for lost or loose screws and nuts.

Every 200 hours

Engine oil change. Motor oil type: Plus-50, Torq-Gard Supreme, SAE 10W-40, 15W-40, 5W-30 API Service Classification CJ-4, or CK-4. How much to add: Oil System Capacity - 5.4 L (1.4 gal). Check engine oil level after replacement.

Engine oil filter replacement. Filter part number - M806419. When change the filter, cleaning the housing is required. After installation, checking the oil level is recommended. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Clean radiator surface from dirt.

Check alternator/fan belt tension. Adjust if necessary.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 400 Hours

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid. Transmission/hydraulic oil type - Hy-Gard (J20D). Transmission fluid capacity: 44 L (12 gal). Check transmission/hydraulic oil level after changing.

Change transmission fluid filter. Transmission fluid filter part number: RE45864. When the filter is replaced, check the transmission/hydraulic oil level. Add transmission fluid if it is low.

Change hydraulic filter. Hydraulic filter part number: LVA10419. After replacing the filter, check the transmission/hydraulic oil level. If required, add it.

Replace engine primary fuel filter. Part number - MIU802421.

Replace engine final fuel filter. Part number - MIU803127. Check the operation of fuel injection pump.

Check the coolant in radiator. Top up if coolant is low.

Check engine idling. Adjust engine idle if necessary.

Check the fittings and hoses. Tighten as recommended.

Every 600 Hours

Changing or service engine primary air filter elements. Primary air filter part number - RE68048.

Check and clean the engine secondary air filter. Part number - RE68049. Change as required.

Inspect diesel particulate filter. Part number: MIU802216. Service or replace if necessary.

Inspect all fittings and hoses. Tighten as required.

Front axle fluid change. Front Axle Capacity: 5.0 L (1.3 gal).

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Annually

Change engine oil and filter. Service lubrication system components.

Change engine primary/secondary air filter elements.

Install a new transmission filter and pour in fresh hydraulic/transmission fluid.

Replace hydraulic filter.

Change the primary and final fuel filters by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean radiator and oil cooler fins.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling System Capacity - 6.0 L (1.5 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check level of battery electrolyte.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust fuel injectors.
