John Deere 5065M Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking procedure. If after checking the oil level is low, add it.

Transmission fluid level checking. When transmission oil is low, fill in new oil.

Checking air filter. Replace if necessary.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check idle engine speed, steering, hand brake and service brakes. Repair any damage if necessary.

Every 50 Hours

Check tyre pressure. If the tyre pressure is low, inflate the tyres.

Check the battery. Clean battery terminals if necessary.

Checking the oil in front axle. Add oil if necessary.

Check the oil in hydraulic tank. If necessary, add hydraulic fluid to the system.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Check tractor for loose or lost nuts and screws.

Every 300 hours

Changing engine oil. Recommended oil - Plus-50 II, SAE 10W-40, 5W-30 API Service Category CJ-4. How much to pour. Oil system capacity - 10 L (2.6 gal). Add oil to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Change engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: RE519626. When changing the filter, clean the dirt inside the filter housing. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. If necessary, add it.

Clean radiator surface from dirt.

Check fan/alternator belt for wear. Change if necessary.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 500 Hours

Replace fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: RE533026. Check the correct operation of injection pump.

Check the coolant in radiator. Top up if required.

Check engine idling. Adjust engine idle as required.

Inspect all fittings and hoses. Tighten as required.

Change front axle lubricant.

Check and adjust the brake system components.

Every 600 Hours

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid. Recommended oil type - Hy-Gard, JDM J20C/J20D. How much to fill: Fluid capacity - 53 L (14 gal). Fill with the new hydraulic/transmission oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Transmission/hydraulic oil filter changing. Transmission/hydraulic oil filter part number: SJ11784. When the filter is replaced, check the transmission fluid level. If necessary, add it.

Changing or service engine primary air filter elements. Primary air filter part number - RE253518.

Check and clean the engine secondary air filter. Part number - RE253519. Replace as required.

Check cab fresh air filter. Part number: RE198488. Clean as required per conditions.

Inspect cab recirculation air filter. Part number: RE195491. Clean if required.

Replace filter and engine oil. Service lubricating system components.

Replace primary and secondary air filter elements.

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid.

Change hydraulic/transmission oil filter.

Drain water from fuel tank and change fuel filter.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling system capacity: w/o cab - 13 L (3.4 gal), with cab - 15 L (3.9 gal).

Inspect all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust fuel injection nozzle.
