Diesel shuts off while driving: Wrong setting of fuel injection pump timing. Adjust fuel injection pump as required. Dirty fuel filter. Change the filter element. Engine is cold. Normalize the temperature by warming up the engine.

Engine overheating: Radiator core is dirty or radiator cap is damaged. Install new cap or clean radiator. Low engine coolant. Fill radiator to proper level and check components for faults. Install a new shaft. Low fluid level. Add fluid to the transmission housing. Worn or damaged bearings. Replace the bearings. Transmission oil is contaminated. Fill up with fresh transmission oil.

Gear shift is hard: Worn or rusty gear shift linkage. Lubricate or replace shift linkage. Clutch is worn or not adjusted. Clutch needs to be adjusted or changed. Worn or bent shift forks. Change the shift forks. Defective parts in the gearshift mechanism. Replace defective parts.

Transmission oil pressure is low: Transmission oil level is low. Fill up the transmission oil. Plugged transmission oil filter (if equipped). Service or change transmission oil filter. Relief valve malfunction. Replace valve as required.

Transmission oil leaking: Damaged seals or gaskets. Seals and gaskets need to be replaced. Transmission fluid level is exceeded. Excess fluid must be drained.

Hydraulic system overheats: Improper hydraulic fluid type. Use the proper type of hydraulic fluid. Hydraulic fluid contamination. Change hydraulic fluid. Air in hydraulic lines. Bleed hydraulic lines. Main relief valve is defective. Relief valve need to be replaced.
