John Deere 6125D Maintenance Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Check the engine oil level. If the oil level is too low, fill in new oil.

Transmission/hydraulic oil level checking procedure. When transmission/hydraulic oil is low, add recommended volume.

Engine air filter checking. Install a new filter if required.

Check engine coolant level. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine idling, steering system, service brakes and hand brake. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Every 50 Hours

Checking the air pressure of tyres. Inflate if required.

Check the battery. Clean battery terminals if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Check fluid in hydraulic system. Add oil if necessary.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Check tightness of wheel bolts and nuts.

Every 250 hours

Inspect engine primary air filter. Replace annually. Clean as required. Part Number - AL172780.

Inspect engine secondary air filter. Replace annually. Clean as required. Part Number - AL150288.

Service cab fresh air filter.

Service cab recirculation air filter.

Remove dirt from radiator fins with a brush.

Inspect the fan/alternator belt and adjust the belt tension as required.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 500 Hours

Replace engine oil. Engine oil type - Plus-50, SAE 10W-40, 10W-30, 5W-30. API Service Category CJ-4, CI-4, CH-4. Engine oil capacity: 12 L (3.2 gal). Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Oil filter changing. Oil filter part number: RE504836. When changing the filter, clean the dirt inside the filter housing. Check the oil level after installing a new filter. Add oil if required.

Changing transmission/hydraulic oil. Recommended hydraulic/transmission oil: Hy-Gard 2, JDM J20C, JDM J20D. Transmission/hydraulic fluid capacity: 58 L (15.3 gal). Fill with the new transmission oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Change filter element in hydraulic system. Hydraulic filter part number: SJ11792. After installing a new filter, check the hydraulic oil. Add oil if necessary.

Change primary and final fuel filter. Primary fuel filter part number: RE541922. Final fuel filter part number: RE526557. Check injection pump adjustments.

Replace cab fresh air filter. Part Number: RE198488.

Replace cab recirculation air filter. Part Number: RE195491.

Check radiator coolant. Top up if coolant is low.

Check engine idle speed. Adjust engine idle as required.

Check the hoses and fittings. Tighten as required.

Front axle fluid change. Front axle capacity: 6.5 L (1.72 gal).

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Change filter and engine oil. Service lubricating system components.

Change engine primary/secondary air cleaner elements.

Replace hydraulic filter and add fresh fluid to hydraulic/transmission system.

Change the fuel filters, but drain water from fuel tank first.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Drain, flush and refill cooling system. Cooling system capacity: 16.5 L (4.4 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charge.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust injector pump.
