John Deere 2955 Maintenance Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Engine oil level checking. If the engine oil level is low, fill in fresh oil.

Check hydraulic/transmission oil level. When hydraulic/transmission oil is low, fill in new oil.

Check engine air filters. Change if necessary.

Check radiator coolant level. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine speed, steering unit, service brakes and parking brake. If damages are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Check and inflate tires as required.

Check battery charge level and charge if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Check fluid level in the hydraulic tank. If necessary, add hydraulic fluid to the system.

Lubricate the front axle bearing assembly.

Inspect wheels and tighten bolts and nuts if necessary.

Every 250 hours

Engine oil change. Engine oil type - Plus-50, SAE 10W-40, 15W-40, 10W-30. API Service Category CD, CC, SD. How much to pour: Engine oil capacity: 11.5 L (3.0 gal). After installing a new filter, check that the engine oil level is correct.

Replacing engine oil filter. Oil filter part number: T19044. When changing the filter, clean the dirt inside the filter housing. Check the oil level after installing a new filter. Add oil if necessary.

Check cab recirculation air filter. Replace as required. Part number: R65450/L38598.

Inspect the alternator/fan belt and adjust the belt tension if necessary.

Check the tightening torque of the wheel bolts.

Every 400 Hours

Clean engine primary air filter elements. Replace primary air filter if air cleaner indicator light continues to glow. Air filter part number - AZ20623.

Inspect engine secondary air filter element. Part number - AL67195. Never clean. Replace at every third change of primary air filter.

Clean radiator fins if fins are dirty.

Check cooling system for leaks. Top up if coolant is low.

Every 600 Hours

Change hydraulic/transmission oil. Recommended hydraulic/transmission fluid: Hy-Gard. Transmission/hydraulic capacity: 53 L (14.0 gal) with MFWD, 50 L (13.2 gal) without MFWD. After filling, check the transmission oil level with a dipstick.

Replace hydraulic/transmission oil filter. Transmission/hydraulic fluid filter part number: AR75603. Check the transmission fluid level after installing a new filter. Add oil if required.

Replace return flow filter in hydraulic system. Part number of hydraulic return flow filter element - AL77061/AL56469/RE34958. When installation is complete, check the hydraulic/transmission fluid level. If after checking the hydraulic oil level is low, add it.

Check engine idle speed. Adjust if necessary.

Change front axle lubricant. Front axle capacity: 6.5 L (1.7 gal).

Check brake adjustment.

Every 1200 Hours

Change hydrostatic steering oil filter. Part number - AL31413.

Replace fuel filter. Engine fuel filter part number: AR50041. Check the efficiency of fuel injection pump.

Inspect all tubes and hoses. Tighten as required.

Replace filter and engine oil. Service oil system components.

Replace engine primary and secondary air cleaner elements.

Change transmission/hydraulic oil filter.

Install a new hydraulic return flow filter and fill with fresh transmission/hydraulic fluid.

Install a new hydrostatic steering oil filter.

Drain water from fuel tank, then change the fuel filter.

Reolace cab recirculation air filter.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling system capacity: 17 L (4.5 gal).

Inspect all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check and service the battery.

Adjust engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust injector pump.
