John Deere 6105E Service Intervals

Every 10 Hours or Daily

Check motor oil level. If the oil level is too low, fill in new oil.

Transmission/hydraulic oil level checking. If the transmission/hydraulic fluid is too low, fill the required volume.

Check engine air filter elements. Change if necessary.

Check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, top it up.

Check engine idling, steering unit, parking brake and service brakes. Repair any damage if required.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect all tires. Inflate tires if necessary.

Check battery charge. Charge the battery if necessary.

Checking the oil in front axle. Fill as required.

Check oil level in the hydraulic tank. Fill as required.

Lubricate rear and front axle hub bearings.

Check front and rear wheels. Tighten bolts and nuts as required.

Every 250 hours

Check or replacing engine primary air filter elements. Change if necessary. Air filter part number - SU20768.

Inspect engine secondary air filter element. Replace as required. Part number - RE253519.

Check and clean cab fresh air filter and cab recirculation air filter. Change as required.

Clean radiator grill from dirt.

Inspect alternator/fan belt. Change if necessary.

Check wheel bolt torque.

Every 500 Hours

Changing engine oil. Recommended oil - Plus-50, SAE 10W-40, 10W-30, 5W-30. API Service Category CJ-4, CI-4, CH-4. How much is required: Engine oil capacity - 15.0 L (4 gal). Fill with the new oil up to the upper notch on the dipstick.

Engine oil filter replacement. Filter part number - RE504836. When changing the filter, clean the dirt inside the filter housing. Check the oil level after installing a new filter. Add oil if it is low.

Changing hydraulic/transmission fluid. Recommended fluid type: Hy-Gard 2, JDM J20C, JDM J20D. How much is required: Transmission/hydraulic capacity - 58.0 L (15.3 gal). After completing the filling procedure, check hydraulic/transmission fluid level.

Perform hydraulic filter element replacement. Hydraulic filter part number: SJ11792. Check the hydraulic fluid level after installing a new filter. Add hydraulic oil if it is low.

Replace engine primary fuel filter element. Part number - RE551507.

Replace engine secondary fuel filter element. Part number - RE551508. Check diesel fuel pump settings.

Check cab fresh air filter. Change as required. Part Number: RE198488.

Service cab recirculation air filter. Change as required. Part Number: RE195491.

Check the coolant in radiator. If coolant is low, top up.

Check engine idle speeds. Adjust engine idle as required.

Inspect all fittings and hoses. Tighten if necessary.

Front axle oil change. Front axle housing capacity: 5.0 L (1.32 gal).

Check and adjust the parking and service brakes.

Change engine oil and filter. Service lubricating system components.

Install a new engine primary and secondary air filter elements.

Clean or change cab air filters.

Install a new hydraulic filter and fill with fresh transmission/hydraulic oil.

Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filters.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and refill with fresh coolant. Cooling system capacity: 18.6 L (4.7 gal) / 19.1 L (5 gal) - with Cab.

Inspect all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charge.

Check engine valve clearance.

Check and adjust injection pump.
