John Deere 2210 Periodic Maintenance

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Motor oil level checking. If the engine oil level is low, fill in fresh oil.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid level checking procedure. When the transmission/hydraulic fluid is low, add fresh oil.

Check engine primary/secondary air filters. Change if required.

Check the coolant level in cooling system. If the coolant level is low, add it.

Check engine idle speed, steering, parking brake and service brakes. Repair any malfunctions if necessary.

Every 50 Hours

Check tire air pressure. Inflate tires if required.

Check battery charge. Charge the battery if necessary.

Check front axle oil level. Fill as required.

Checking hydraulic fluid in system. Fill as required.

Lubricate the rear and front wheel bearings.

Check tightness of wheel bolts and nuts.

Every 200 hours

Engine oil change. Engine oil type - Plus-50, SAE 10W-40, 15W-40, 10W-30. API Service Category CD, CC, SD. How much to add: Engine Oil Capacity - 2.1 L (0.55 gal). Add oil to the upper mark on the dipstick.

Changing oil filter. Filter part number - M806418. When change the filter, cleaning the housing is recommended. After installing a new filter, check the oil level. Add oil if it is low.

Change transmission/hydraulic oil. Transmission/hydraulic oil type - Hy-Gard. Transmission and Hydraulic System Capacity - 13 L (3.4 gal). After replacing the transmission/hydraulic fluid, check the level with a dipstick.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid filter replacement. Transmission/hydraulic fluid filter part number - LVA12812. After installation, checking the transmission fluid level is recommended. If required, add it.

Change front axle lubricant. Front Axle Capacity - 2.5 L (0.66 gal). Front Axle Oil Type - GL-5.

Every 250 Hours

Check engine primary air filter element. Replace annually, and as required. Air filter part number - M113621.

Inspect engine secondary air filter element. Replace annually, and as required. Part number - M123378.

Clean the radiator grill from dirt and dust.

Inspect and adjust alternator/fan belt. Change if belt is worn.

Check the tightening torque of the hub bolts.

Every 400 Hours

Change diesel fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: CH15553. Check the efficiency of injection pump.

Check the coolant in cooling system. Top up if required.

Check engine idle speed. If necessary, adjust the idle speed on the engine.

Check the tubes and hoses. Tighten if necessary.

Check and adjust the service and parking brakes.

Annually

Change engine oil and filter. Check and clean the oil system.

Change engine primary and secondary air filter elements.

Change hydraulic/transmission oil.

Change hydraulic/transmission filter.

Replace the fuel filter by first drain water from fuel tank.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and add fresh coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 3 L (0.80 gal).

Check all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery electrolyte level.

Check engine valve clearance.

Inspect and adjust diesel injector pump.
