John Deere 2305 Maintenance Intervals

Every Ten Hours or Daily

Check the engine oil level. If the engine oil level is low, add fresh oil.

Transmission/hydraulic fluid level checking. When transmission/hydraulic oil is low, add recommended volume.

Engine primary and secondary air filter checking. Replace if required.

Check the coolant level in cooling system. If the coolant level is too low, fill the system.

Check engine speed, steering unit, parking brake and service brakes. If damages are found, repair it.

Every 50 Hours

Inspect tires and check inflation pressure. If required, add air to tires.

Test battery charging. If the charge level is low, charge the battery.

Checking the oil in front axle. Fill as required.

Check hydraulic oil level. Add if required.

Lubricate rear and front axle hub bearings.

Check wheels and tighten nuts and bolts if required.

Every 200 hours

Engine oil change. Recommended oil - Plus-50, SAE 10W-40, 15W-40, 10W-30. API Service Category CD, CC, SD. How much to fill. Engine Oil Capacity - 3.2 L (0.84 gal). Check engine oil level after replacement.

Replacing engine oil filter. Filter part number - M806418. Clean the filter housing from dirt before replacing the filter element. After replacing the filter, check the oil level. If required, add it.

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid. Transmission/hydraulic oil type - Hy-Gard. How much is needed: Transmission and Hydraulic System Capacity - 13 L (3.4 gal). Check transmission/hydraulic fluid level after replacement.

Change filter in transmission/hydraulic system. Part number of transmission/hydraulic filter element - LVA12812. After installation, checking the hydraulic fluid level is recommended. If after checking the hydraulic oil level is low, add it.

Front axle fluid change. Front Axle Oil Type - GL-5. Front Axle Capacity - 2.5 L (0.66 gal).

Every 250 hours

Check engine primary air filter element. Replace annually, and as required. Air filter part number - M131802.

Inspect engine secondary air filter element. Replace annually, and as required. Part number - M131803.

Clean radiator surface from dirt.

Check fan/alternator belt for wear. Replace if necessary.

Check the tightening torque of the wheel bolts.

Every 400 Hours

Replace fuel filter. Fuel filter element part number: M801101. Check diesel fuel pump performance.

Check cooling system for leaks. Top up if required.

Check engine idling. Adjust engine idle as required.

Inspect all tubes and hoses. Tighten if necessary.

Adjust service and parking brakes.

Change filter and engine oil. Service lubrication system components.

Replace engine air filter elements.

Replace transmission/hydraulic filter.

Change transmission/hydraulic fluid.

Drain water from fuel tank, then replace the fuel filter.

Clean oil cooler fins and radiator.

Flush the cooling system and add new coolant. Cooling System Capacity - 3.2 L (0.84 gal).

Inspect all clamps hoses and hoses.

Check battery charging.

Check and adjust valve clearance.

Check and adjust injector pump.
